Enova Power Corp.’s annual fall eBilling Campaign supports The Food Bank of Waterloo Region

One simple change for Enova Power Corp. (Enova) customers can provide six healthy meals for people experiencing food insecurity in Waterloo region.

For each customer who switches to eBilling before December 1, Enova will donate six meals to The Food Bank of Waterloo Region (The Food Bank). The donation will support the more than 22,000 households in Waterloo Region who rely on food assistance programs.

“The need for food assistance in Waterloo region is at an all-time high, and that’s why, now more than ever, we need our community’s support to ensure that everyone in the region has access to the food they need for a healthy and stable life,” says Kim Wilhelm, interim CEO of The Food Bank of Waterloo Region. “Efforts like those of Enova Power and its customers, who are contributing to the fight against food insecurity through the simple act of switching to eBilling, serve as an inspiring example of how small, collective actions can make a substantial impact on a community. These actions, when combined with broader efforts, can help alleviate the challenges faced by those in need and are important steps toward a more food-secure and sustainable community.”

One in every 10 households in Waterloo region needs food assistance. The Food Bank distributes more than five million pounds of food to more than 120 community programs and agencies across Waterloo region every year. Fifty-eight per cent of the food distributed is fresh or frozen.

In addition to supporting a much-needed community service, customers who receive eBills enjoy the added benefits of being an eBilling subscriber. eBilling customers receive notification directly to their inbox as soon as their bill is ready, from anywhere they may be, with payment details available at a glance. eBilling also cuts down on paper waste.

Visit enovapower.com/onlinetools for easy step-by-step instructions to make the switch today. Last year, more than 1,300 customers registered for eBilling in support of The Food Bank, Enova hopes to increase this number during this year’s campaign.

“The Food Bank has never been more important in the communities we serve, and we’re pleased to support them again this fall,” says Greig Cameron, Enova’s President & CEO. “Thank you to our customers who continue to support this campaign by switching to eBilling before December 1.”
