Food insecurity is a growing concern in Waterloo Region, especially among children and students. As many as one in four children are facing food insecurity.

Help us ensure the school year gets off on the right foot for area students by switching to eBilling in support of Nutrition for Learning.

Nutrition for Learning believes that when students are nourished, their capacity to imagine, explore, and connect is elevated.

The organization provides nutritious meals to students in need at schools across Waterloo Region. As food insecurity continues to impact more families, Nutrition for Learning is working to de-stigmatize young people accessing food support at school, through its Breakfast Support Program, Grab-and-Go Meal Program, Social Connections Food Program and Summer School Program.

Nutrition for Learning has an immense impact on the communities it serves:

  • 180 schools in Waterloo Region are supported by Nutrition for Learning programs.
  • More than 2 million accessible meals are provided to students each school year.
  • More than 100,000 students across Waterloo Region have access to fresh produce, proteins, and whole grains from school nutrition programs.
